As I travel around the nation I am finding more and more agents and brokers waiting for the market to come back… what if this is our new market? What if the real estate market stays this way for one, two or three years?
Many agents across the country have already identified the changes and re-tooled for success. They are the ones growing in this new real estate environment and making the money they deserve.
If you are not enjoying the opportunities that are presented in today’s market you must ask yourself… Do you have the desire, drive and tenacity to change the way you do business? If your answer is “Yes,” then you have taken the first step toward your success.
Consider three things…
First, are you doing activities that don’t produce results? Journal your activities for the next week and then review them. If you were your own boss would you pay someone for the work you did?
Second, rework your plan. Include money making activities like calling past customers or meeting new ones. Get rid of the people and things that don’t produce results. Have a written goal of pro-active activities you will achieve.
Third, seek help or training in the areas you are struggling with. If you don’t master the skills you are weak in you will lose business to other agents.
Remember you can achieve Peak Performance by having an attainable plan, mastering the necessary skills and holding yourself accountable.

As we kickoff our new website and my Blog the real estate market is in a decline and credit has become difficult to obtain. This will spell the end for many companies and agents in our business.
That is the prevailing headline and attitude in our industry and it is WRONG! This is a market were true professionals can really shine. We now have for the first time in many years an incredible opportunity to take market share.
If you are an Agent you are competing against fewer and fewer agents and if you are well trained, well coached and have mastered the right skills you can do more business than ever before.
If you own or manage a company it gets even better. With the right plan and passion you will find many opportunities in both internal development of your agents and with looking outside for recruiting opportunities, company acquisitions and don’t forget that now can be a good time to look at consolidation or mergers of other offices into yours.
To succeed at any of this you will need to make tough decisions and hold yourself and your team accountable. So get your plan in writing and your passion burning and take proactive steps in this market.
